With reference to your message posted on the GEORGIAN website on 19th January 2011 ,we are aware of the problem of Medical Officers at Chail and Dholpur.
As you are aware that as the Schools are under the MoD they had advertised for Medical Officers and interviews were done through the UPSC and Medical Officers were selected and also issued letters of appointment .
These Medical Officers did not join . UPSE is now again going to advertise fresh again and we hope they will get suitable candidates. In case this does not happen and they don't get suitable candidates then we from Georgians Association - Delhi will make a representation to the Defence Secretary on this urgent requirement .

We are sorry to inform you regading the sad demise of our senior faculty member Mr D D KAPUR at Dehradun yesterday . He was 95 .
Mr. KAPUR joined at KGRIMC Jullundur in mid 40's and served with the KGS / MS at Nowgong ,Ajmer and Chail till his retirement in mid 70's.

Dear BELGAUM GEORGIANS
We BELGAUM Georgians are having our Mega
get togather in December 2010 at our Belgaum
School.
This Mega get togather is held once in FIVE years. The last was held in December 2005 at the Platinum Jubilee Celebration of the Institution were it was decided by all ex Belgaum Georgians present that we hold such get togathers once in FIVE years on a regular basis henceforth.

I, K. Madhava Reddy (3610), passed out (Sainik School Andhra) in 2006 and am currently pursuing my B.Tech in Hyderabad. I was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) - a type of Blood Cancer- in November, 2007.
I have been undergoing treatment for the above said disease since then under the supervision of Dr. SVSS Prasad, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad and completed B.Tech 2nd and 3rd years in distinction. The treatment was going fine till Oct. 2009 when the doctor noticed that the disease has relapsed.
The doctor advised that the only way I can sustain is by undergoing a BMT (Bone Marrow transplantation). I was accordingly prepared for this BMT by giving high dosage of chemotherapy. Now, the reports have showed remission and the doctor has referred to Apollo Speciality Hospital, Chennai as this facility is not available at Hyderabad.
I have consulted Dr. Jose M Easow, BMT speciality who has conducted the required investigations and advised for an immediate admission and transplantation. The donor for transplantation is my Sister whose marrow has matched with my marrow.
The estimate given by Apollo Chennai (attached) is for Rs.15 Lakhs.
Other incidental expenditure will be 3 to 5 Lakhs. Both my parents have expired before I was 8 years old, since then I was dependent on my uncle who has already spent approx. Rs.10 Lakhs towards my treatment. But now since the amount is huge, I request you to lend out a helping hand and support my uncle. Any kind of help whatsoever will be deeply appreciated. Your help and support will give me a chance to lead a normal life once again. There is nothing called a small help when the heart giving it is big. All amounts shall be accepted with gratitude.
All payments can be made by cheque or DD in favour of “K. Madhava Reddy” or can be remitted into SB A/c No. 10123165040 State Bank of India, Balkampet Branch, Hyderabad

I always wondered how does it feel when you do something and don’t expect anything in return except for a nice feeling inside of "Done Something nice today".

BACKGROUND: Most of us already know about it but for benefit of new member of Georgians.in, after lot of efforts by our very own senior bhaisaab Mr. Sunil Kapoor and other fellow Georgians the colony park in New Rajinder Nagar was named after our very own Major Gopi Singh Rathore bhaisaab on Shaheed Diwas 30th January 2007.

THE IDEA: Prime objective is to bring all Georgian together regularly, to have a platform to do something for society without any expecting any return (shramdaan) and make good use of time which is our own time. Apart from this to discuss, brainstorm, and socialize and off course enjoy and keep GEORGIAN SPIRIT ALIVE.

It was agreed that last Sunday of every month we would meet at Major Gopi Singh Rathore Park, New Rajinder Nagar at 7:00AM for 2 hours. The idea is to meet regularly, have some discussion and of course do some Shramdaan at park. However, please note that there is no fix agenda for any of these meeting and all Georgian’s are free to bring their ideas, suggestion anytime, any day. The good part is that if you miss one month due to any reason, you can always join next month – last Sunday at 7:00 AM. People traveling from other part of country/ world if staying in Delhi over weekend can join and catch up as well.

1st MEETING on 25th FEBRUARY – Although a smaller group on Day 1, but we know that sparks can raise big fires. Idea to share this online is let people know about this and join at will. We did some shramdaan and planted some flowers to start with and shared about future ideas over cup of tea and bread pakoras.

Thus I invite all Georgians, who think they can take out 2-3 hours every month which normally we spend sleeping, reading newspaper or just doing nothing for this are most welcome. Also I welcome Ideas, suggestion or views on this, so that we can make it more interesting and useful for ourselves and society as a whole.
