THiS school students shine in CBSE class 12 exam

As the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE – Class 12 CBSE) results started trickling in from Saturday morning, the joy among students at schools that are part of The Hindu in School (THiS) programme was evident. Their aggregate percentage reflected the effort they had put in, and many said it was a huge confidence booster.

In Army Public School, K. Kamaraj Road, all the 155 students passed. Jitvan Himanshu Shukla with 97 per cent is the school topper in the science stream. In the commerce stream, S. Deekshitha emerged the topper with 95 per cent. In the humanities stream, Sanjana Hooda with 90.6 per cent took the top position. School principal Manjula Raman said the results were on expected lines. However, the marks obtained by several students in mathematics, English and legal studies had pulled down their aggregate percentage.

All the 71 students in National Public School, HSR Layout, passed. Nikita Kishore with 97.6 per cent emerged the school topper. Kanthi Sanjay Banakal with 96.4 per cent stood second.

In National Public School, Rajajinagar, all the 81 students secured distinction. Mehak Arora and V. Sai Charan, both by securing 97.4 per cent, emerged the school toppers. Anish Saha, with 96.2 per cent, stood second.

NPS, Koramangala

In National Public School, Koramangala, all the 75 students secured distinction. Four students — Aniruddha Voruganti, Anwesh Bhattacharya, Mahir Jain, and Sandhya Ramachandran — secured 97.2 per cent and emerged the school toppers. Nitish Hariharan secured a centum in mathematics, while Pranjli Singhal in economics.

In National Public School, Indiranagar, 93 students in the science stream and 35 students in the commerce stream appeared for the examinations. Here too, four students in the science stream emerged as school toppers. S. Gaurang, Rohan Rajagopalan Iyer, Udayagiri Rithwik, and Varshini Srinivasan all scored 97.4 per cent. In the commerce stream, Vishal B S., with 95.6 per cent, is the school topper.

Rashtriya Military School

At Rashtriya Military School Bangalore too all the 36 cadets passed. Cadet Shiv Kumar Chouhan, with 97.4 per cent, is the school topper, while Cadet Deepak Mishra stood second with 94.6 per cent.

Presidency School

In Presidency School Bangalore East, Kasturinagar, 14 of the 21 students secured distinction and the school average is 78.85 per cent. Rishi Kumar Mudaliar with 93.8 per cent is the school topper. Adithya Natarajan with 92 per cent stood second. G. Thangadurai, director, Presidency Group Schools, said the school average was higher than the previous years.

In Delhi Public School Bangalore South, Kanakapura Road, 93 of the 158 students secured distinction. In the science stream, Rohan Rajesh Talesera is the school topper with 95.6 per cent.

In the commerce stream, Arjun Acharya and Drishya Dinesh secured the top position with 95.8 per cent. In the humanities stream, Eshani Ashutosh Vaidya topped the school with 94.4 per cent.

School principal Manju Sharma said the school was proud of the achievement of Malavika Vishwanath, who represented the country in swimming competitions and bagged four gold medals in the recent South Asian Games, and scored 90.4 per cent in humanities stream.
