It was heartening visit,though a virtual one through website. I travelled back in Time Machine, down memory lane, as back as in 1964,and wake up, like fictional Rip Van Winkle,not after 20 years,but after 53 years when I passed out from King George’s School in December 1064.(Roll no. 192)
I find amazing improvement in all spheres,truly racing shoulder to shoulder with time. However I miss our main School builing,Ranvir Villa.

Nostalgia! Still remember the good old days of the KGS when I was a very young teacher under Lt. Colonel S.S. Nakra. Vividly remember the fatherly figures of Mehta Saheb, Sardar Udham Singh Saheb and other colleagues along with smiling and disciplined cadets. We played cricket also with the H.H. Maharaja of Patiala’s team, and the Army Commander’s. Lucky are those who are still there. Take full advantage of your stay there, and go with the wealth of knowledge around to serve the nation. After the KGS I have been abroad as a senior officer in the Civil Services of the foreign governments till 2014, but KGS never faded from my memory. Wish you all every success in the service of the Nation. Jai Hind!
