Rashtriya Military School (Erstwhile King George’s School) Dholpur was raised as the fifth and the youngest Rashtriya Military School on 16 Jul 1962. Its inaugural ceremony was performed on 18 August 1962 by Late Shri KV Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister. The School is housed in the Kesarbagh Palace, a magnificent mansion of the former ruler of the erstwhile Dholpur estate. The city of Dholpur (also spelled Dhaulpur) is located on the National Highway No 3 equidistance between Agra and Gwalior and on the Central Railway Main Line.
